White Bird's Annual Outreach Project with Portland Public Schools, reaching over 3,000 students and teachers per year, will celebrate its 20th year anniversary in the 2019/20 season. Virtually every dance company White Bird brings offers a dance workshop to Portland area students and the professional dance community.
Since 2000, White Bird's goal is to make stronger curriculum connections for student learning through the performing arts. Supporting this opportunity, community resource people and artists have come together to offer teachers insight into the artistic process and foster connections to historical and social themes within the mission, vision and choreography of our sponsored visiting company.
